BioMarin is a world leader in developing and commercialising innovative biopharmaceuticals. BioMarin Cork faciltates manufacturing and manufacturing sciences and technology, facilities and engineering, quality, information technology, finance and administration all within the new Shanbally based plant.
Kiernan Electrical are proud to be working alongside BioMarin in its Cork plant on a wide range of projects since its inception in 2015.
BioMarin Administration and Warehouse Extension Project:
Kiernan Electrical successfully undertook the newly developed Administration Building and Warehouse Extension in BioMarin in 2016 which on its completion comprised of a four-floor building with office areas, meeting rooms and other associated ancillary areas.
The warehouse extension section of the project was a new build extension adjoining the existing warehouse to allow further expansion in the manufacturing and production in the Shanbally plant Co.Cork.
The installation comprised of BMS, L.T Distribution systems, lighting, power and critical safety systems within the new build and to include modifications to existing services and systems within the manufacturing and production areas of the plant.
BioMarin Site Separation Phase 2:
Bio Marin Site Separation Project was constructed to provide the BioMarin Shanbally plant with independent utility supplies, power, firewater storage/pumping and waste-stream treatment infrastructure.
Kiernan Electrical successfully completed the Site Separation Project in 2017 which included new Process Water Treatment Facility, Process Waste Water Storage Tanks, Fire Water Storage Facility & Pumphouse and a new Water and Wastewater Utilities Building to include TOC Analyser rooms and new MCC's.
Upon the successful completion of the project this allowed the BioMarin plant in Shanbally Co.Cork become a standalone fully independent manufacturing facility and separate the site's utility service dependency from adjoining sites in the area.
